The Hannah Dairy Research Foundation supports all aspects of dairy research including the biology, wellbeing of dairy animals, dairy technology and food production. The foundation aims to stimulate original scientific research, encourage and inspire young scientists in the field, invigorate the industry and enable dairy farmers through advances in knowledge, technology and good practice.
In order to achieve this, the foundation recognised the need for marketing services to showcase the activities carried out by the foundation. Launch were approached to create a new brand which reflected the aims of the foundation, as well as the development of a website, social media banners and graphics for adverts.
Some of the initial concept designs incorporated the double helix, tartan and earthy colours which represent the biological research carried out at the Hannah institute in Scotland, a negative space design which used the silhouette of farm animals to create the shape of a cows head focusing on the dairy aspect of the brand and one which took elements from the original logos, such as the cows head and the swoosh to create a new brand identity.
The final brand was developed from detailed feedback from the client and a sub-brand was created for the Journal of Dairy Research which they publish. The brands were then applied to all the marketing material, documents and new website development.
In 2023 Launch were appointed to re-design the existing website, to update and refresh the layout, content and images displayed. The new website also allows the Hannah Dairy team to easily update and add news and events going forward.
